We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to help shape and elevate those capabilities across our growing international organisation.
The opportunity
This is a high-impact role positioned at the intersection of Retail and HR, with responsibility for designing and delivering a modern learning strategy that supports both our people and our commercial objectives.
Working closely with Retail leadership, HR and key stakeholders across the business, you will build scalable learning solutions that accelerate onboarding, strengthen product and service expertise, develop future leaders and enhance the overall performance of our retail teams.
Our workforce is international and dynamic. Success will require a forward-thinking approach to learning - one that leverages technology, embraces modern learning methodologies and creates engaging development experiences that can be delivered consistently across multiple markets.
Key responsibilities
Learning strategy & capability development
- Define and implement the company's Learning & Development strategy in partnership with Retail and HR leadership.
- Build learning frameworks that support business growth, capability development and organisational effectiveness.
- Identify capability gaps and translate business priorities into targeted learning initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.
Retail performance & customer experience
- Operating under the direction of Retail Leadership, lead the design and implementation of learning initiatives that support retail priorities, customer experience objectives and business performance.
- Translate retail strategy and operational priorities into scalable learning programmes that strengthen product knowledge, selling capability, client engagement and service excellence.
- Build capability frameworks that enable teams to consistently deliver the premium customer experience that defines the LUCA FALONI brand.
- Use retail performance metrics and operational insights to identify capability gaps and shape learning priorities.
- Establish clear links between learning outcomes and commercial performance, ensuring development initiatives contribute to measurable business results.
- Act as the learning and capability lead for the retail organisation, supporting the execution of strategic retail objectives through targeted development programmes.
Onboarding & employee readiness
- Design and continuously improve onboarding programmes for retail and corporate employees.
- Accelerate time-to-productivity for new hires through structured, engaging and scalable learning experiences.
- Ensure every new employee develops a strong understanding of the LUCA FALONI brand, values, products and customer philosophy from day one.
- Create clear onboarding pathways that support long-term engagement and success.
Leadership development
- Design and implement development programmes for Store Managers and emerging leaders.
- Build leadership capability across the retail organisation to support performance, engagement and succession planning.
- Partner with business leaders to identify and develop future talent.
Learning innovation & technology
- Leverage learning technologies, digital platforms and modern learning methodologies to create engaging and scalable development solutions.
- Develop mobile-first and blended learning experiences suited to an international workforce.
- Evaluate and implement new approaches that enhance learning effectiveness, accessibility and engagement.
- Use learning analytics and data to measure impact and inform continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Significant experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organisational Development or Capability Building ideally within the same or adjacent industries.
- Experience supporting customer-facing, operational or retail populations across multiple locations and markets.
- Demonstrated ability to build learning strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of modern learning methodologies, digital learning and learning technologies.
- Experience designing onboarding programmes that improve engagement and accelerate performance.
- Ability to connect learning initiatives to customer experience, employee capability and commercial performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working in matrix environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and communicate learning impact.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.
- Experience within retail, luxury, hospitality or similarly customer-centric environments is highly desirable.
