Intermediate Ecologist (Terrestrial)

Salary: $70,000- $83,000
Our Intermediate Ecologists combine strong technical skill sets with project coordination and consulting experience to help guide teams and clients toward successful outcomes.
We are seeking an Intermediate Ecologist—a technical professional who thrives on managing complexity, contributing to environmental solutions, and supporting both field investigations and reporting deliverables. You are an emerging leader who enjoys mentoring, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of consulting experience in terrestrial ecology.
- Certified in Ecological Land Classification (ELC) with applied field experience.
- Strong field skills, including investigations/inventories, monitoring, and habitat assessments.
- Experience with provincial and federal environmental regulatory processes and Ontario natural heritage policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Class G Driver’s Licence and personal vehicle.
Additional Assets (Nice to Have):
- ISA Certified Arborist.
- Public and stakeholder consultation experience.
- Wildlife survey experience (e.g., amphibians, birds, vegetation).
