About the role
SBPM Partners is a fast-growing international business spanning North America and six EU countries — the Netherlands, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Germany — and the United Kingdom. We now need someone to build the knowledge infrastructure that holds it all together.
This is a foundational hire. You will own the entire L&D function from day one: capturing institutional knowledge, building structured training on Talent LMS, designing installer certification pathways, and working closely with our incoming QA Manager to close the loop between quality findings and curriculum.
You will have direct access to senior leadership, a clear mandate, and genuine scope to grow the role as the program scales.
What you'll be working on
Months 1-6 · Build the foundation
Knowledge capture, LMS build, QA integration
- Lead a structured knowledge-gathering process across operations, logistics, QA, country partners, and installers
- Audit existing Talent LMS content and redesign training modules informed by QA data and CSAT trends
- Develop distinct learning pathways for new country partners, individual installers, and internal SBPM staff
- Work with the QA Manager to convert tacit field expertise into scalable training assets
- Establish a feedback loop between QA review outcomes and curriculum — so common failure modes are addressed proactively
- Build onboarding toolkits that accelerate time-to-competency for new country partners
Month 6+ · Scale and improve
Continuous improvement, advanced content, team growth
- Own continuous improvement of all L&D content as products evolve and operations mature
- Build a best-practice sharing mechanism across country teams in near real-time
- Develop advanced content for complex installation scenarios and technical escalations
- Explore tiered certification levels (Standard, Advanced, QA-Certified) tied to demonstrated competency
- Grow and manage a small team of content developers or regional training coordinators
Key working relationships
QA Manager
Closest operational partner — joint owner of quality-to-training feedback loops. QA review data and field expertise are primary inputs into curriculum design.
Country Partners (NL, IT, FR, ES, BE, DE, UK)
Responsible for managing individual installers. You will work with them on onboarding, knowledge capture, and training adoption within each market.
Senior Leadership
Strategic alignment on L&D priorities, reporting on training outcomes, and building the business case for function growth.
What we're looking for
Essential experience
- L&D program design in a technical or operational environment — field services, engineering, construction, or similar
- Building or significantly developing an LMS (Talent LMS experience a strong plus)
- Extracting tacit knowledge from SMEs and converting it into structured learning content
- Linking training interventions to measurable performance outcomes
- Working across multiple geographies or multi-country teams
- Strong project management — building from scratch, not inheriting
Highly desirable
- Background in quality management, technical training, or field-force enablement
- Familiarity with telecoms, connectivity, or hardware installation industries
- Integrating NPS/CSAT and QA data into training design
- Certification framework design and management
- International experience, particularly in European markets
