Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development, the existing Learning Consultant is responsible for the development, implementation and tracking of key learning programs and initiatives to support the Rexall brand and drive a learning and development culture within Rexall.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead learning consultations with business partners to assess performance needs, define learning objectives, and recommend tailored learning strategies and modalities.
- Design and implement end-to-end learning solutions, applying adult learning theory and instructional design principles to translate complex workflows into engaging, multi-modal training experiences.
- Develop post-training sustainment plans, including reinforcement activities, coaching tools, and performance support resources to ensure long-term adoption and behavior change.
- Establish and monitor success metrics to evaluate learning effectiveness, business impact, and ROI, using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Source and curate off-the-shelf learning content and digital resources aligned with organizational goals and employee development needs.
- Maintain and optimize learning systems, including the learning management system, learning paths, and training records, ensuring seamless learner experience and data integrity.
- Facilitate training sessions (virtual and in-person) as needed, ensuring high engagement and relevance to learners.
- Stay current with learning trends, technologies, and methodologies to continuously enhance the learning strategy and offerings.
- Manage relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Coordinate logistics for training delivery, including scheduling, communications, room setup, and materials preparation.
- Support content development, including writing and editing training materials, manuals, handouts, and assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Adult Education or Training & Development certificate or relevant work experience
- Experience in a retail Pharmacy environment an asset
- 3-5 years of instructional design and facilitation within a corporate training role
- Experience with building or delivering blended learning solutions (i.e. online learning & virtual learning)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Solid understanding of online learning software (e.g. Articulate 360 suite, Captivate, Storyline).
- Experience organizing and delivering webinars as a formal training mechanism
