Job Summary
We are seeking a well-connected and driven recruiter with deep relationships across Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa youth sports communities. This individual will play a key role in expanding our tournament reach by recruiting teams, clubs, and organizations to participate in WSS events.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is:
- Highly connected in AAU, club, or school sports
- Passionate about youth athletics
- Experienced in recruiting, relationship-building, or sports sales
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans for youth basketball, baseball, and softball travel teams across the Midwest region.
- Actively recruit youth basketball, baseball, and softball teams for WSS tournaments and events
- Leverage existing relationships with coaches, directors, and programs
- Build new partnerships across WI, IL, MI, and IA
- Promote WSS tournaments through direct outreach, calls, social media, and networking
- Track outreach efforts, commitments, and team registrations
- Serve as a regional ambassador for WSS and its events
Experience
- Strong existing network in youth sports (AAU, club, travel, or leagues, and tournaments)
- Prior experience in recruiting, sales, or sports event management preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-driven
- Ability to work independently and meet recruitment goals
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (Non-Negotiable):
Must currently reside in one of the following states:
Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, or Iowa
Must have an active and verifiable network within:
- AAU / travel basketball
- Youth baseball and/or softball communities
- Relevant Experience:
Must have prior experience hosting, managing, or operating youth sports events, tournaments, or leagues
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
