In this 12-month opportunity, we are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Learning Specialist, to support the end user configuration, administration, optimization, operation, and ongoing management of our Learning Management System (LMS). You will be a critical liaison between the learning team and internal corporate level clients, as well as between internal stakeholders and the LMS vendor, ensuring seamless user experience, timely issue resolution, and effective system enhancements. The ideal candidate has strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, a passion for technology, and experience with user acceptance testing, learning management systems, and project management.
What You Get to Do:
- Configure and maintain the LMS—working closely with IT and the vendor—including user roles, permissions, course structures, learning paths, channels, journeys, and certifications
- Maintain SCORM/xAPI packages and conduct content uploads
- Ensure system integrity, accessibility, and optimal user experience
- Coordinate release management, system updates, and feature enhancements
- Work with IT and content developers to investigate and help resolve technical challenges
- Provide training, documentation, and guidance for LMS users, admins, and content owners
- Collaborating with HR, IT and business on training strategy and system needs
- Communicate with LMS vendor, ATCO leadership, and ATCO IT regarding issue escalation, feature requests, and updates
- Consult on Software Development Life Cycle of various integrations including new environments
- Coordinate and participate in enterprise UAT testing for new features, upgrades, and customizations
- Generate and distribute learning analytics and compliance reports
- Monitor learning completion rates and escalating overdue training issues
What You Bring:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ business/IT/Learning Technology industry experience
- 5 years’ experience with Learning Management Systems preferred; Cornerstone an asset
- Proficiency with Technology platforms; experience with Oracle, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Familiar with project management and change management basics
- Experience with API/LTI integrations, Connectors, SCORM, Excel
- Knowledge of SSO, user roles, governance and permission management, ITIL, SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and diagnosing LMS issues
- Understanding of browser and device compatibility, including mobile devices
- Experience with eLearning design and AI tools is an asset
- Demonstrates excellent time‑management and problem‑solving skills, builds strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and communicates effectively through exceptional verbal and written communication
