Requirements of the role
We are recruiting for a passionate and professional Learning and Development (L&D) Consultant to join us in our HR department on a part-time, permanent basis.
The role
As one of six L&D professionals reporting to the L&D Manager, you will work directly with individuals and teams across the organisation to identify learning needs and devise, curate and/or procure innovative and engaging learning solutions across a range of topic areas that help to optimise performance and develop skills for future roles.
You will hold a broad and strategically important portfolio, with particular responsibility for supporting a large operational regulatory team.
Your Work May Include
- developing and implementing accredited and / or programme based learning – such as structured learning pathways, multi-module programmes and externally accredited programmes
- technical, regulatory and role-specific skills – specialist training such as niche regulatory topics, emerging risk areas, specialist operational processes and internal ‘masterclasses’
- supporting and developing personal development, leadership and management and programmes and individual effectiveness courses.
- project specific, change based work, system, process and compliance training.
We are looking for someone who can develop collaborative stakeholder relationships, with a proven track record of owning and delivering full lifecycle L&D solutions and providing well‑judged advice and guidance. You’ll need to be able to leverage multiple design channels, be confident challenging assumptions, shaping requirements, and guiding stakeholders towards effective, scalable and sustainable learning solutions.
This job requires someone who can operate across the full learning cycle – from needs analysis and design through to delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement. You will be involved in identifying and managing external suppliers and will also be responsible for designing and implementing externally accredited programmes, so experience in these areas, will be highly valuable.
To both succeed in, and importantly enjoy this role, you will need to be organised, flexible, and energised by working at pace. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects and workstreams at once, navigating competing priorities, and maintaining a clear and consistent approach across a busy and dynamic department.
