Role Overview
The Training Specialist supports the training and development of Patient Navigators by delivering and reinforcing health and genetic training programs. This hands-on role ensures that team members are confident, knowledgeable, and compliant in their work. This position is primarily remote, with travel to training locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training sessions on prescreening questionnaires for HALO’s genetic testing programs.
- Assist in updating and maintaining existing training materials, including manuals and e-learning modules.
- Provide support and coaching to Patient Navigators to ensure proper understanding of procedures.
- Monitor and report on training progress and participant comprehension.
- Ensure training content is followed accurately and aligns with HIPAA and company standards.
- Support training initiatives as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare training, instructional support, or patient education.
- Familiarity with genetic testing procedures and relevant industry regulations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coach and support staff effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
- Comfortable using MS Office Suite, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Teams, and video conferencing tools.
- Experience in patient counseling or healthcare support is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus.
- Experience with e-learning platforms or instructional tools is beneficial.
