About the Role
The Director of Learning Architecture is the architect, operator, and leader of M+ Academy. This individual builds the systems, curriculum, governance, and delivery model that translate M+’s intellectual capital into a scalable, role-based training ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build and Lead the M+ Academy Ecosystem
- Architect the Academy structure across 8 Schools of Instruction
- Convert the full M+ Blueprint into actionable curricula
- Translate M+’s institutional IP into structured, multi-level modules
- Build all learning paths
- Instructional Design & Curriculum Development
- Design videos, scripts, assessments, role-plays, simulations, SOP modules
- Build storyboards, certification paths, scoring rubrics, and knowledge checks
- Maintain consistent brand voice across training content (aligned with Marketing)
- Develop advanced learning materials for PF, PCS, AUM, P&C, Case Design, Financing
- LMS Ownership (Primary Requirement)
- Serve as administrator + architect of the M+ LMS platform
- Build catalogs, cohorts, multi-tenant structures, pathways, and certification logic
- Manage user permissions, roles, and reporting dashboards
- Ensure version control, tagging, audit logs, and structured content governance
- Coordinate Salesforce and LMS workflow triggers
- Governance, Version Control, and Compliance Alignment
- Own all versioning standards for Academy content
- Maintain quarterly update cycles and feedback loops
- Ensure training compliance (product content review)
- Maintain “evergreen” institutional curriculum that evolves with the business
- SME Collaboration & Enterprise Coordination
- Work cross-functionally with department heads: Planning (PCS), Premium Finance (PF), Non-Financed Insurance, Case Design, Underwriting & Operations, Financing & Banking, Wealth Management (AUM), P&C, Technology (Salesforce, automation), Marketing (visual & brand alignment)
- The DLA extracts SME knowledge and converts it into structured, high-leverage learning.
- Advisor Development & Performance Measurement
- Build competency models for each lane (Analyst/PK → Advisor → Partner)
- Establish KPIs for onboarding and readiness
- Monitor training progression and score advisor readiness
- Partner with leadership to align certification with promotion cycles
- Build the Instructor Bench (Future M+U Faculty)
- Identify high-performing internal advisors
- Train them to become future M+ University presenters
- Build the content pipeline for external-facing education
Qualifications
- Experience: 7–15+ years in corporate learning, instructional design, LMS architecture, or enterprise training
- Experience inside a financial services or life insurance Home Office strongly preferred
- Strong track record of building learning systems, not just courses
- Technical Skills: Mastery in one or more modern LMS platforms (Docebo strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of SCORM/xAPI, course authoring, content security
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations a major plus
- Strong video scripting and course production instincts
- Communication & Leadership: Executive-caliber writing and speaking ability
- Ability to distill complex financial concepts into simple learning sequences
- High EQ with ability to motivate advisors and SMEs alike

Pay range and compensation package
- Salary: $120,000–$140,000 based on experience
- Bonus: Bonus tied to training adoption, advisor progression, and certification outcomes
