As our next
Learning & Development Manager, you won't just be delivering content, you'll be at the center of our talent development strategy, partnering directly with HR and business leaders to drive capability, engagement, and future-skills development. We’re a small, high-trust L&D team that collaborates deeply, co-creates core programs, and shares credit generously — we are looking for someone who thrives in that kind of environment.
In this role, you’ll build the programs that help employees grow and leaders lead well, directly influencing capability, engagement, and culture across the company. This high-visibility role is ideal for someone who can create
structure from ambiguity, translate complex business needs into clear, practical learning, and deliver polished, engaging experiences for managers, top talent, and teams.
On a Typical Day, You Might
- Lead the end-to-end design and ownership of major, multi-month learning programs, including those focused on strengthening manager capability, top-talent development, and cross-functional skill-building.
- Design and develop scalable content and asynchronous learning assets (toolkits, guides, job aids) that simplify complex or ambiguous input into clear, structured learning that drives action and alignment.
- Act as a strategic consultant and collaborative partner to HR Business Partners, business leaders, and fellow L&D team members to assess needs and translate priorities into practical learning solutions.
- Facilitate engaging and high-impact learning sessions and workshops for managers, top talent, and cross-functional groups, adapting your style to meet the needs of diverse audiences and formats.
- Drive future-skills initiatives by developing assets that build emerging capabilities, including role-based AI fluency and other competencies critical for ActiveCampaign's long-term strategy.
- Use learner insights, data, and feedback to continuously iterate on and strengthen the effectiveness and measurable outcomes of existing and new programs.
- Maintain quality and consistency across all learning collateral, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with internal frameworks and standards.
- Contribute to team-level development by designing and facilitating team workshops and offsite sessions for cross-functional groups across the organization.
- Roll up your sleeves on hands-on execution — writing content, refining assets, shaping learning flows, and sweating the details that create a high-quality learner experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional and learning design, with a proven ability to simplify complexity and deliver programs end-to-end—from needs assessment and content architecture through facilitation and measurement of impact.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage and successfully execute multiple large-scale initiatives with steadiness and excellence.
- Experience building and maintaining career development resources, manager enablement tools, or leadership development programs.
- Proven ability to consult with leaders, ask strong questions, and translate business needs into actionable learning roadmaps.
- A collaborative working style — you enjoy co-designing, brainstorming, iterating with others, and strengthening your teammates’ work as much as your own.
- Comfort and experience with async learning platforms and authoring tools.
- Prior experience in SaaS, software, or high-growth technology environments.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and learning technologies and a curiosity about emerging skills.
