Staff Learning & Development Coordinator
Location: Remote
Reporting to: Staff Learning & Development Senior Manager
Travel: Limited travel for in-person trainings, events, and stakeholder engagement.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated L&D Coordinator to support the coordination and delivery of AMC’s learning and development programs through the end of 2025. As part of our dynamic Learning & Development team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the success of training programs for our staff and volunteers. What you’ll be doing at AMC

Coordinate and administer L&D programs: Oversee scheduling, logistics, and communication for training programs.

Provide administrative support: Manage L&D documentation, including tracking attendance, collecting feedback, and maintaining training records.

Support content delivery: Assist in delivering training sessions, either virtually or in-person, as needed, ensuring that all participants have the tools and resources necessary for success.

Track and report data: Collect and track key metrics related to program participation, learning outcomes, and feedback. Support the team in preparing reports on training progress and program success.

Assist with the creation and updating of training materials: Help in designing and refining training content, ensuring it aligns with AMC’s organizational goals and is engaging for all learners.

Provide ongoing support to staff and volunteers: Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot challenges, and provide general assistance to participants before, during, and after training sessions.

Contribute to a positive and engaging learning culture: Assist in fostering a learning environment where staff and volunteers feel supported, engaged, and inspired to grow professionally.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, human resources, outdoor recreation, or related fields.

1 - 3 years of experience in a learning and development or training coordination role.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) A passion for outdoor experiences and a commitment to the mission of the AMC.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends with lead time as needed to support training events.

The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
