We are seeking a dedicated College Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning students personal profile, enhancing extra curriculum activities, and 4-year high school studying plan through their academic journey, helping them navigate the complexities of college admissions and educational pathways. This position requires a passion for education, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and educational institutions.
Duties
- Provide personalized academic advising to students, helping them identify their educational goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them.
- Utilize software to manage student records and track progress throughout the advising process.
- Seeking various university programs, admissions processes, and scholarship opportunities for different types of students.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by representing the institution at college fairs and community events.
- Collaborate with education administration teams to ensure alignment of services with institutional goals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in higher education and changes in admissions policies.
Experience
- Proven at least 2 years+ experience working as counselor an academic setting is essential.
- Background in academic advising or education administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ellucian or similar student information systems is a plus.
- A passion for educating others about higher education opportunities and supporting their academic success.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week
