We are seeking a Director of Learning & Development to lead firmwide training initiatives across attorneys and professional staff. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established training program and elevate it with your own vision and expertise.
Why This Role:
You’ll have the reins to shape and enhance the firm’s training program, building upon an existing framework while introducing fresh ideas and improvements. Working closely with staff and attorneys, you’ll play a key role in strengthening digital fluency and supporting professional growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, deliver, and refine new hire and ongoing training across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, eLearning, 1:1).
- Supervise and develop the training team, overseeing schedules, projects, and performance.
- Design and update engaging training programs, materials, and curricula tailored to legal workflows.
- Stay current on legal technology trends and recommend enhancements to tools, content, and delivery methods.
- Partner with IT and leadership on technology rollouts, adoption strategies, and user support.
- Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience delivering technology training, law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Managerial or team leadership experience highly valued.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Litmos preferred, but open to similar platforms).
- Familiarity with tools for creating training content (e.g., Scribe, Canva, or similar).
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and core legal applications (iManage, Compare, Acrobat/PowerPDF, e-signature, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts clearly.
- Highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable, with proven success in managing multiple projects.
