Position Summary:
The Manager – Learning and Development plays a pivotal role in delivering high-impact, scalable learning solutions that build organizational capability and align with business objectives. The incumbent will lead the execution of learning initiatives across technical, functional, and leadership domains while driving a culture of continuous development and performance excellence.
Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, this role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage end-to-end learning design, implementation, and evaluation. It also supports strategic projects such as talent pipeline readiness, nationalization, and capability transformation programs across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Strategy and Program Execution
- Translate the enterprise learning strategy into actionable learning plans and programs aligned with business priorities.
- Conduct learning needs analyses in collaboration with HRBPs and business leaders to identify skill gaps and future capability requirements.
- Lead the deployment of development solutions, including classroom, virtual, blended learning, and experiential formats.
- Design and deliver selected in-house learning programs, including but not limited to soft skills, managerial development, and onboarding modules.
Capability Development & Portfolio Management
- Manage and maintain the L&D program portfolio, including leadership development, technical upskilling, soft skills training, and onboarding.
- When required, facilitate both online and in-person learning activities to ensure effective knowledge transfer and participant engagement.
- Oversee the development and curation of digital learning assets and ensure effective utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Continuously assess program effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model or similar frameworks, and adapt approaches based on insights. Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a learning advisor to functional heads and HRBPs to embed learning into business routines
Vendor and Budget Management
- Manage relationships with external learning partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and value for investment.
- Monitor learning budgets and optimize cost-efficiency in program execution without compromising quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10 years of progressive experience in Learning and Development within a multinational or matrixed organization.
- Proven success in designing and executing learning activities and large-scale learning programs across geographies and functions in a multinational or large-scale organization.
- Certification in L&D, instructional design, delivery is highly desirable.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across seniority levels.
