The Partner Development Representative (PDR) plays a pivotal role in generating and nurturing new channel partner leads, with a strong emphasis on outbound activities and close collaboration with the digital marketing team. Your goal will be to identify, engage, qualify, and nurture prospective channel partners that meet CyberSmart's Ideal Partner Profile (IPP).
You will combine proactive outreach (calls & emails) with support from our digital presence via LinkedIn to increase the number of leads and ultimately, net new partners. Working within the Growth team, you will help execute go-to-market (GTM) activities that directly drive partner acquisition.
Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
- Identify, research, and engage potential partners within the Ideal Partner Profile (IPP) target audience to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Be the first point of follow up to MQL's generated through digital outreach
- Execute outbound outreach strategies via phone calls, LinkedIn, emails, networking events and forums
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on target accounts and optimise lead qualification processes
- Educate prospects on CyberSmart's value proposition and solutions for effective positioning
- Track and manage all lead generation activities in tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo and HeyReach
Collaboration & Handover
- Provide feedback to the wider Growth team on lead quality and outreach effectiveness to refine strategy, messaging and processes
- Align with the Growth team on GTM strategy and target audiences
- Ensure smooth handover of qualified leads to Partner Growth Manager for further engagement
- Facilitate lead transfers to key distributors where relevant
Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report KPIs including calls made, emails sent, leads generated and partners recruited
- Analyse the prospecting pipeline to identify trends, gaps, and optimisation opportunities
- Participate in internal Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to share insights and recommendations for future success
Requirements
- 6 months + proven experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation
- Comfortable making high volumes of calls and using multiple channels to prospect
- Familiarity with CRM systems and prospecting tools
- Understanding of channel sales models, especially MSP, MSSP, or VAR ecosystems is beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for engaging with prospects
- Interest or knowledge of cybersecurity is beneficial
