Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In the space of 4 years, it has expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations: Lisbon, Tomar and Guarda. The geographical scope was extended to include, besides the European affiliates also entities located in Africa, Middle-East and India, and the operational scope was extended and includes today not just Finance, but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Shared Services Learning and Development Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing all learning and development activities for multiple departments or business units within the organization, operating from a centralized shared services model. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual who can lead a team, collaborate with various stakeholders across different parts of the organization, and drive the effective implementation of standardized learning initiatives. The focus will be on delivering efficient and scalable learning solutions that meet the diverse needs of the entire organization.
Note: This position is open for 3 locations: Lisboa, Tomar and Guarda
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Needs and Planning:
- Oversee the collection of learning needs from various departments to identify common skill gaps and development opportunities across the organization
- Develop and manage comprehensive learning plans that address identified needs and align with strategic goals for all supported units
- Learning Offer Management:
- Support the management of the learning offer, including adding new courses and reviewing existing ones to ensure relevance and quality for a broad audience
- Ensure the learning offer is up-to-date and accessible to all employees within the shared services scope
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments and business unit leaders to ensure learning initiatives meet their specific needs within the shared services framework
- Act as a key point of contact for learning and development inquiries from all supported areas
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on learning activities and outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement across the shared services model
- Analyze learning data to inform future learning strategies and optimize resource allocation
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously review and improve learning processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and scalability within shared services
- Stay updated on industry best practices in learning and development and shared services delivery models
- Team Management:
- Be compliant with Service Level Agreements set with the entities of the Group and the analysis of Key Performance Indicators
- Be involved in all necessary audit and compliance matters
- Ensuring delivery of services in accordance with agreed performance levels (KPI) and in line with legal/regulations (compliance), continuously driving improvement activities/projects (simplification, standardization, automation) for service excellence and consistent customer experience
Are you a MATCH?
- Proven experience in a learning and development role, with leadership experience preferred, ideally within a shared services environment.
- Strong understanding of learning methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage initiatives for multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across different departments and business units.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
