As a Learning Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of learning professionals in the successful creation of Best Buy learning programs and solutions across multiple formats. In this role you will focus on the development of learning experiences that factor in the needs of employees, customers and the business. You will work closely with cross-functional groups within enterprise learning and business teams to provide input on deliverables and their impact on our audience and ensures quality output.
This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
What you’ll do
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of learning designers
- Validate progress with multiple learning projects, priorities and expectations through strong communication, cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills enabled through technology
- Provide strategic leadership and executes direction through a team to mobilize initiatives, strategies, and programs
- Enable an environment where team members keep themselves current and ahead of industry curves and share new ideas or practices with one another
- Proactively search for, experiment with, and lead adoption of evidence-based industry leading methodologies and practices resulting in adoption of innovative solutions
Basic qualifications
- 3 years of experience in instructional design
- 3 years of experience with content creation and facilitation
- 3 years of experience in creating training content from scratch and building learning strategies at a large scale
- 3 years of indirect or direct leadership experience
Preferred qualifications
- 5 years Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Experience with existing and new technology (video editing software, Vyond, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) to create learning solutions (podcasts, videos, eLearnings, etc.) and enable a learning environment.
- Advanced in writing creative outlines, eLearning and Video scripts, storyboards and effectively copyediting solutions.
- Ability to collaborate and form strong partnerships across many functions of the business
- Ability to create vision and prioritization within projects
