POSITION SUMMARY: The Learning and Development Coordinator provides administrative support for the Learning and Development Department (L&D). The position supports the operations of L&D by administering the Learning Management System (LMS), scheduling trainings or programs, and tracking and reporting training completion for regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Manages learning project plans to meet company objectives and to ensure compliance requirements are met. Perform administrative activities such as keeping all resources organized and up-to-date by maintaining team resources, procedures, and digital files and records to maintain compliance.
- Provides logistical, planning, technical, and service support for learning programs and events including but not limited to recurring annual training and departmental training.
- Administration and up-keep of the LMS.
- Incorporates new content, updates etc. into the LMS and courses.
- Maintains the Learning and Development calendar and schedule annual training sessions as needed.
- Assist users in navigating the LMS and answer questions about training requirements.
- Promotes the Company’s Mission and Values, including an accountable, innovative, and results-oriented culture that promotes customer service, openness, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect.
- Seeks formal and informal performance assessments of self, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential.
- Actively participates in required training and development programs and electives as suits one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts
What You Need
Experience and/or Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Education, Business Administration, or Human Resources is required. A minimum of two years of working experience in an administrative role.
Computer and Technical Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in the use of the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position. Proficient Microsoft office skills (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Expert-level skills working in cloud-based environments such as MS Office 365, particularly SharePoint.
Experience Working With Learning Management Systems.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or human resources is required. A minimum of one year of working experience in human resources and/or an event planning role
Strong Microsoft office skills (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience and/or Education: By training, education and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 0-1+ years’ professional multi-functional experience, particularly with a demonstrated track record of success in customer-facing roles.
