About The Role
You'll split your time between the UK business, Tech Europe & our Head Office Team, all have different priorities and objectives but share a commitment to recruiting diverse talent by delivering a fair recruitment process to attract and retain talent. As the Head of People Attraction, you will be responsible for implementing data driven initiatives to achieve this.
You'll lead and develop a team of 3, all aligned to different business areas, coaching, and advising them and our managers to deliver successful recruitment processes and exceptional candidate experience. You'll take ownership of the recruitment strategy for the UK, HO and Tech Europe business. This is both a strategic and operational role, there's limited need for hands-on recruitment except for senior roles or high priority positions, but you do need to be happy to get stuck in if needs be.
What You'll Be Doing
- Execute and adapt the recruitment strategy in line with business priorities and market trends
- Be a coach for hiring managers and be able to influence decision makers
- Co-create recruitment marketing content with the marketing & comms team
- Driving DEI from a recruitment perspective across the whole business
- In partnership with the recruitment team continue to build our resources for managers and candidates
- Set the teams objectives and commitments to the business, as well as on an individual level - measure performance and present back to the business
- Manage budgets, forecast and track recruitment related costs
- Regularly analyse recruitment data and use the insights to inform decisions and activity
Objectives for 12 months
- Partner with our hiring manager community and continue to train, build toolkits and upskill in fair recruitment best practice
- Develop & embed inclusive hiring practices, utilising current partnerships and building new ones to recruit from diverse talent pools, including the homeless community, ex-con etc.
- Roll out an Apprentice programme in key areas, fostering a culture of inclusion and learning for the cohorts
- Owning and driving DEI strategy within People Attraction, using aspirational targets and data to measure progress
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role you'll need to be a strong team manager. You'll understand the benefits of hiring diverse teams and you'll put fairness at the centre of what you do. You'll be confident recruiting across a broad range of departments and roles as you'll support everything from Commercial, Product Development, Technology, Operations, Finance, Procurement etc.
We have some solid foundations in attraction across the whole business and this role is about taking that to the next phase. You'll be confident in building on established brands, knowing how to leverage EVP and ensuring the right social assets are being delivered by the team. Your style will be professional but informal.
It's important for you to be data driven, and flexible, this role is varied and changes depending on the needs of the team and business.
Must have experience;
- Experienced people manager
- Seasoned in-house recruitment professional
- Experience recruiting high volume industrial/field-based roles
- Lots of experience in influencing, training and coaching managers
- Experience using candidate pools from non-traditional pathways e.g homeless, charity partners, ex-services etc
