LocalPeople Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) / Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) professional to provide advanced, instructor-led technical training to an experienced analytics development team.
This is not an introductory OAC, general BI, or end-user reporting position. We are looking for someone who has personally built and maintained Oracle semantic models/RPDs and can teach experienced developers how to design, troubleshoot, and improve them.
This is a remote, part-time consulting/training engagement with an immediate need. Training is expected to be delivered in structured live sessions over approximately two months, likely every other week.
Training focus
The selected consultant should be comfortable teaching and demonstrating advanced topics including:
- Oracle Analytics Cloud / Oracle Analytics Server / OBIEE architecture
- Oracle RPD development
- Physical, Business Model & Mapping (BMM), and Presentation layers
- Logical Table Sources (LTS)
- Fact tables, dimensions, grain, and dimensional modeling
- Conformed dimensions
- Measures originating from multiple source tables
- Modeling sources with different levels of grain
- Aggregation rules and aggregate navigation
- Logical calculations, derived measures, KPIs, and reusable metrics
- Hierarchies and drill-down/drill-through design
- Subject-area architecture and design
- Generated SQL and query troubleshooting
- Performance optimization
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Semantic-model troubleshooting
- Dashboard and visualization development best practices
- Naming standards, reusable objects, testing, and development governance
The development team already has experience working in Oracle Analytics. The instructor should therefore be comfortable teaching an experienced technical audience and going beyond basic dashboard or report creation.
Required experience
Candidates should have:
- Significant hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), and/or OBIEE
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Oracle RPDs
- Strong knowledge of the Physical, BMM, and Presentation layers
- Experience designing Logical Table Sources
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, fact-table grain, dimensions, measures, and aggregation
- Experience troubleshooting complex semantic models
- Strong SQL and relational-database knowledge
- Experience with advanced calculations and analytics
- Ability to explain technical architecture and modeling decisions clearly
- Experience delivering live technical training, workshops, mentoring, or knowledge-transfer sessions
Strongly preferred
- Previous experience training experienced BI developers
- Experience developing structured training curricula
- Hands-on labs, exercises, or demonstrations that can be used during training
- Experience conducting semantic-model/RPD reviews
- Experience with complex enterprise ERP or financial data environments
- Oracle Analytics certifications or formal Oracle training
ERP-specific experience is not required. The training is focused primarily on Oracle Analytics architecture and development. ERP-specific training will be handled separately.
Engagement
- Remote
- Independent contractor / consulting engagement
- Part-time
- Immediate need
- Approximately two months
- Anticipated live training sessions every other week
- Additional preparation, curriculum development, and follow-up support may be required
Please do not apply if your Oracle experience is limited to:
- Oracle HCM
- Oracle ERP Cloud
- Oracle EPM
- Oracle Recruiting Cloud
- General Oracle databases
- General SQL
- Power BI/Tableau without OAC/OAS/OBIEE experience
- End-user dashboard/report development without RPD experience
We specifically need Oracle Analytics semantic-modeling/RPD expertise.
