Trainer - Intermediate (JP1014)
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (on-site, 5 days per week)
Contract: 1 year, with potential extension up to 6 months
Schedule: 36.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Alberta time
Work must be performed within Canada.
Role Overview
VStream Labs Inc. is seeking an experienced Trainer - Intermediate to lead government-wide training initiatives supporting the 1GX enterprise platform. The successful consultant will design, develop, deliver, maintain, and evaluate accessible learning solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead learning needs assessments and develop role-based training strategies.
• Design instructor-led, virtual, blended, self-paced, e-learning, video, multimedia, digital adoption, job aid, and quick-reference materials.
• Apply adult-learning, instructional-design, accessibility, and user-centred design principles.
• Facilitate engaging instructor-led and virtual training for varied audiences.
• Collaborate with program leads, business owners, subject-matter experts, vendors, and the 1GX Change Network.
• Manage training plans, priorities, dependencies, risks, communications, reporting, governance, QA, version control, accessibility review, and content maintenance.
• Evaluate effectiveness using feedback, assessments, performance measures, and adoption data.
• Use approved AI-enabled, multimedia, collaboration, and content tools while maintaining accuracy, accessibility, privacy, and compliance.
• Coach junior trainers and contribute to continuous improvement.
Mandatory Qualifications
• A related university degree plus 12 years of progressively responsible experience, or a related two-year diploma plus 14 years of experience. Equivalencies must be clearly stated.
• 12+ years performing learning needs analysis, audience and role analysis, work-context analysis, and requirements gathering.
• 12+ years designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end learning solutions.
• 12+ years facilitating instructor-led and virtual training.
Preferred Qualifications
• 12+ years with WalkMe or comparable digital-adoption platforms.
• 12+ years creating accessible e-learning, video, audio, and multimedia using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Canva, Vyond, or Adobe products.
• 12+ years gathering requirements, leading reviews, working with SMEs, and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
• Experience using AI tools for instructional design, content development, or communications, with validation, privacy, and accessibility controls.
• 12+ years evaluating learning effectiveness.
• 12+ years delivering ERP training in Finance, HCM, Payroll, SCM, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or 1GX.
