The Role
As a Learning and Development Coordinator at JD Sports Canada, you are responsible for shaping the employee journey—from onboarding to ongoing development. You build, manage, and implement impactful learning resources that equip our teams to deliver excellence on the sales floor and behind the scenes. This role partners closely with key retail and corporate teams to support employee growth, drive performance, and ensure consistent brand training across the country.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the logistics of Training Store Manager (TSM) training plans, including scheduling, and participant communications.
- Support new store openings by planning and organizing the onboarding and training day sessions, including securing cross-functional training support and event dates/times.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, learner assignments, reporting, completion tracking, and ongoing system maintenance to ensure an optimal learner experience.
- Manage the translation process for learning and communication materials, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and bilingual content delivery
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure all new hire training plans are communicated clearly to enhance the candidate and employee experience
- Generate and analyze learning data and training metrics, providing regular reports and insights to support compliance, operational execution, and business decision-making.
- Provide administrative and project coordination support for Learning & Development initiatives, ensuring projects, resources, and communications are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
