We are expanding our program offers to include Pharmacy Assistant Program and are seeking a passionate and experienced Instructor to join our academic team.
About Role :
We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant Program Instructor who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students entering the pharmacy field. This is a fully remote role involving live online instruction and active student engagement.
As an early member of the program, you will also contribute to curriculum development and help shape the future of our pharmacy training delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver live, interactive online instruction covering pharmacy topics, including dispensing procedures, drug classifications, pharmacy math, and customer service
- Provide hands-on training on pharmacy software systems (e.g., Kroll, McKesson) and point-of-sale technologies used in retail pharmacy environments
- Develop, update, and continuously improve course materials, lesson plans, lab simulations, and assessment tools in alignment with current industry standards
- Design and evaluate quizzes, assignments, practical assessments, and final examinations to measure both theoretical knowledge and applied pharmacy skills
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress, providing timely academic support where required
- Maintain accurate student records, gradebooks, and attendance logs within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Support student success through mentoring, academic guidance, and job-readiness preparation
- Contribute to program quality assurance, curriculum enhancement, and overall academic excellence
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma/Certificate or equivalent with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail, community, or hospital pharmacy
- Strong understanding of Canadian pharmacy practices and regulations
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Comfortable using online platforms (Zoom, LMS, Google Workspace)
Schedule:
- Saturday : 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Sunday : 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Weekdays availability required
