We're looking for a Learning & Development Director for our public sector client on an initial 12-month contract, paying up to £1,065 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35). This role is based in London on a hybrid basis, with 3 days per week in the office. Travel will be required and expenses are covered.
This is a board-credible senior role leading the mobilisation and design of a flagship executive leadership programme. You will run senior stakeholder discovery, shape learning architecture aligned to organisational culture and transformation objectives, and design immersive leadership interventions for C-suite and Executive Committee populations. This is not a standalone capability-building role; you will be working within a live organisational transformation and presenting design direction directly to Programme Directors and Board-level governance.
You will need proven experience in the following:
- Personally leading end-to-end design and delivery of executive leadership programmes for C-suite and ExCo populations
- Facilitating and working directly with Director, MD and Executive Committee-level stakeholders
- Delivering leadership development programmes as part of live organisational transformation, not standalone initiatives
- At least 6 years at Director or equivalent level in Learning & Development, leadership development or learning consultancy
- Designing immersive learning solutions including simulations, scenarios and system leadership interventions
- Leading stakeholder insight activity, executive interviews and hypothesis-driven discovery
- Developing curriculum blueprints, design standards and pilot-ready learning packages
- Presenting learning strategy and design direction to Board-level governance
Experience within rail, infrastructure or the public sector would be highly desirable.
