We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to fill a one-year temporary full-time position in our Calgary office. You will play a key role in driving the success of our teams through impactful New Hire onboarding and Learning & Development initiatives. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, delivering, and coordinating comprehensive training programs that support employee growth, performance, and engagement across the organization.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while staying available for on-site needs. Although core hours are Monday to Friday, additional hours and on-call responsibilities may be required to support your team effectively.

What will you do?
- Ignite New Hire Success: Lead and energize onboarding sessions, ensuring every new Entruster starts strong and certified.
- Master Training Operations: Orchestrate seamless training logistics, from room setup to communications, for impactful learning experiences.
- Champion Course Completion: Track progress, send motivating reminders, and support new hires to finish their learning journeys.
- Guard Compliance Excellence: Keep training documentation flawless and audit-ready, ensuring Entrust stays ahead of requirements.
- Empower Learning Management: Take charge of Entrust Academy, managing courses, enrollments, and troubleshooting with expertise.
- Create Learning Magic: Facilitate CPI certification and develop engaging, accessible training content for all learners.
- Drive Program Rollouts: Lead the launch of key training initiatives and support specialized learning logistics.
- Build Collaborative Bridges: Connect with stakeholders, answer training questions, and maintain organized L&D resources.
- Spark Innovation in Learning: Introduce microlearning, gamification, and interactive tools to boost engagement and retention.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback, analyze data, and recommend enhancements to keep Entrust’s learning programs at the cutting edge
What are we looking for?
- Proven Learning Leader: 3+ years of L&D experience, thriving in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Educational Trailblazer: Diploma or equivalent in education, HR, communications, or related fields.
- Sector Savvy: Background in disability services, healthcare, or social services is a plus.
- Dynamic Facilitator: Skilled at leading diverse groups and adapting to unique learning styles.
- Compliance Champion: Detail-driven, with a knack for tracking certifications and maintaining impeccable records.
- Tech-Savvy Trainer: Proficient with LMS, Microsoft Office, and digital tools; UKG and Salesforce experience is a bonus.
- Instructional Innovator: Knowledgeable in adult learning theories, instructional design, and creative methods like gamification.
- Organizational Maestro: Expert at juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Pro: Exceptional communicator, committed to accessibility and plain language.
- Self-Starter & Adaptable: Proactive, resilient, and ready to pivot when priorities shift.
- Team Player Extraordinaire: Courteous, reliable, and effective in diverse teams.
- Adventurous Traveler: Comfortable working across Alberta, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and your own personal vehicle.

Reports to: The Learning and Development Lead.
Location and Hours of Work:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, additional hours and on-call responsibilities may be required to support your team effectively.
- Location: This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home, in the office and on-site in Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton as required.
- Duration: 12 months (approx.)
