DSI, a premier Dallas-based sales enablement and custom business solutions company, founded in 1984 and family-owned and run, has an immediate career opportunity for a Corporate Training Manager. This position will be responsible for leading our organizational training and employee development efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our business objectives. Your primary focus will be new employee orientation, identifying training needs, designing relevant programs/courses/modules, and assessing impact.
As Corporate Training Manager, you will collaborate with the Senior Director of Training across all enterprise divisions and departments to ensure employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the company. Successful candidates for this position should have a strong background in technical/soft skill training and learning and development in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an overall training and development plan that addresses the needs and expectations of the organization
- Design, develop, and implement the New Employee Orientation program
- Implement professional development and soft skills training programs as needed
- Create an appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of the training plan, facilitating strategic training based on the organization's goals
- Provide oversight for the creation of online course development for the Learning Management System
- Monitor and evaluate the training program's effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically and provide reporting on progress
- Identify and provide opportunities for enhancing skills and ongoing professional development
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training
- Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
- Create and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
- Provide general oversight and direct supervision to the instructional designer and LMS administrator
- Provide support to Sr. Director of Training for general training operation, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Training/Employee Development Manager
- Experience with hard skill, soft skill, and professional development training
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, gamification, workshops, simulations, etc.)
- Proficiency in many forms of audience-driven content creation, design, and delivery.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong writing and record-keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems
- Clear, dynamic, & precise communication skills to all levels of employees, from entry-level agents to leadership, both inside and outside of our organization
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook); strong computer proficiency, web conferencing (ex. MS Teams, Zoom, etc.), and A/V setup and troubleshooting skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail in content creation and language nuance is required
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines for all partners, internal and external
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field (instructional design, educational technology, Communications, etc.)

- Must have a dependable vehicle with valid vehicle insurance
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- Some overnight travel may be required - An average of up to 20% annually
