This role is focused on driving new business growth within the payments and fintech ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on building and converting high-quality sales pipelines. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and progressing complex commercial opportunities from initial discovery through to contract signature. Operating in a fast-moving, technical environment, you will act as a key ambassador in the market while also ensuring strong internal alignment across sales, product, and operational teams. The position requires a consultative approach, deep understanding of payment infrastructure, and the ability to communicate value effectively to senior stakeholders. You will manage multiple concurrent opportunities, balancing outbound prospecting, partner-generated leads, and marketing-driven demand. This is a high-impact commercial role where ownership, consistency, and execution directly influence revenue growth and go-to-market success.
Accountabilities
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities to build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline across multiple channels including outbound, partnerships, and marketing.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial discovery and value qualification through negotiation and contract closure.
- Manage and progress a portfolio of opportunities, ensuring consistent engagement, timely follow-ups, and accurate pipeline forecasting.
- Maintain structured CRM discipline, ensuring all opportunities are accurately tracked, updated, and reflected in Salesforce.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including product, sales, and operations to align on customer needs and delivery feasibility.
- Act as a market-facing representative, clearly articulating value propositions to senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Support commercial strategy by identifying expansion opportunities and contributing to improved go-to-market execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Executive roles within fintech, payments, SaaS, or related technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, card processing, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) / Card-as-a-Service (CaaS) models.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers, including C-level and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent discovery, negotiation, and communication skills with a consultative, value-driven approach.
- Experience managing multiple opportunities simultaneously with strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
- Ability to translate technical or complex solutions into clear business value propositions.
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, resilience, and results orientation.
