What is the Opportunity?
We are seeking a Learning Designer to join our growing team within RBC’s Cash Management division. Our group has many diverse training needs from clients to sales to operations, employees and more. You will be responsible for the development of best-in-class learning and training tools to drive enablement and digital adoption across our workforce and clients. The Learning Designer will contribute across training, employee development and upskilling, workforce planning and client education.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of participating in a training function in a cross-functional organization, familiar with Cash Management environments and enabling delivery of exceptional client and employee experiences.
This role will be working directly with our Business Management & Go-To-Market teams, and will need to liaise across many other verticals such as product, compliance, sales and technology. It will also play a strategic part in our strategic roadmap for the future.
What will you do?
- Support the US Cash Management horizontal training function, accountable for orchestrating training design and delivery, coordination, content quality control and ensuring alignment to our strategic vision
- Play a key role in driving strategy & solutions in pursuit of digital transformation in the training space
- Design, create and maintain digital learning content, including walk-throughs, screen tips, videos and guides, to enable users to navigate the tools and self-serv
- Design, develop, and facilitate training programs and course materials for new and experienced client-facing staff, with a focus on digital learning tools, to drive adoption and productivity
- Deliver customized demos and training sessions based on the needs of users, to meet or exceed the training benchmark
- Create high-touch online web sessions and in-person training programs for high-priority users and clients
- Participate in portal development as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting prioritization of self-serve opportunities
- Develop and support change management strategies with the overall goal of recognizing client impacts and delivering programs successfully
- Drive collaboration with product and development teams ensuring visibility and input to the development process from digital training
- Training content updates made in line with development releases to ensure content is available when users need it to maximize adoption and return on investment
- Continually assess the quality of training programs, for ongoing effectiveness in meeting client and business needs and identify opportunities to drive digital adoption
- Analyze feedback and usage statistics to enable identification of trends, with respect to web portals usability, learning goals and adoption
- Support in client education / engagement activities and related thought leadership or intelligence
- Support other ad-hoc Go-To-Market and deployment activities, as required
What do you need to succeed?
MUST HAVES
- 3+ years of experience in a related field (Training, Learning Design, Instructional Design, Go-To-Market)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to offer clear and concise articulation of complex initiatives
- Experience in creating and delivering various forms of digital learning content, strategies and solutions
- Experience in developing needs assessments, learning solutions, and training programs
- Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent creative thinker and problem solver
- Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to drive exceptional client and employee experiences
- Proven track record in building, maintaining and delivering training and e-learning modules and promoting digital adoption
- Exceptional candidates who do not meet the criteria above will still be considered
NICE TO HAVE
- Training / Learning development or facilitation qualification
- Understanding of the Cash Management or Corporate Treasury industry
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
- Knowledge of graphic design or accessible design principles
- Experience with new/emerging businesses and digital business models
- Comfortable working in high paced ambiguous situations and across cross-functional partners

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $135,000.00
