Hybrid Job: This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.
Make a difference
As an integral and senior part of the Learning and Organizational team this role works closely with the Manager of Learning and Organizational Development and is responsible for formulating multi-level (unit, division and organization) L&OD strategies/plans to support TCHC’s staff, and delivering and effectively evaluating high quality learning and development solutions that support implementation/sustainment of organizational culture, meet stakeholder requirements, achieve business objectives and cultivate a high-performing workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Learning and Organizational Development subject matter expert for program evaluation, impact measurement, training metrics and staff development and coaching.
- Conducts needs analysis of the learning needs of various client groups within TCHC through appropriate consultation, analyzing data, and conducting research.
- Collaborates with subject-matter experts within the organization as well as vendors to develop L&OD initiatives aligned to TCHC’s various divisional training needs.
- Engage business portfolio leadership team and appropriate stakeholders to consult, develop, execute and evaluate annual learning and development plan(s) based on key performance indicators
- Research new trends and approaches in the learning industry that apply to leadership and related initiatives, and serves as a champion for a learning culture in the organization.
- Develop KPI’s, metrics and approaches that evaluate program impact (immediate and longitudinal) on organizational culture, employee engagement and business objectives.
- Generate reports for internal bench marking, divisional leadership, Executive leadership team and relevant committees
- Assume project management responsibilities for both internal and external clients/customers, related to program design, development, and deliverables.
- Creates data management approaches to assist in the continuous improvement of training products and services.
- Tests, problem-solves, updates, and maintains, traditional, and blended learning solutions.
Interacting With External Vendors
- Designs, procures, and coordinates appropriate learning & development initiatives based on identified needs, and manages relationships with internal subject-matter experts and external agencies as needed to ensure the delivery to appropriate learning & development experiences.
Managing Internal Clients
- Provide end-to-end learning and organizational development consultancy services and is responsible for successful delivery of assigned projects
- Collaborate/engage closely with business units and organizational subject matter experts to understand learning needs of target audience, define success measures and develop solutions that effectively address business needs.
- Communicate, describe and present solution proposals to stakeholders and business units for approval
- Produces high-quality learning programs and relevant educational materials with design principles that interface with internal learning management system and promote blended solutions
- Designs and updates programs using unique combinations of cutting-edge interactive media, state-of-the-practice techniques, electronic tools and systems Monitor compliance and program budgets
- Mentors, coaches and provides some work direction to Learning and Organizational Development Coordinator, L&OD Assistant and interns, and provides leadership and guidance to resolve complex issues and ensures quality in service delivery.
- Providing ongoing guidance and direction to team members (L&OD Consultants, Coordinators and Assistants) on the design, development, and execution of learning initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational standards and priorities
- Acting as a mentor and escalation point for complex or high-impact projects & issues, supporting team members in problem-solving and decision-making
- Reviewing and strengthening team output (e.g., training plans, presentations, program materials) to ensure quality, consistency, and executive readiness
- Driving process improvement by assessing current workflows and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality across the function
- Supporting coordination and alignment across projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are metActs as back-up to Manager, Learning and Organizational Development as required
- Assists with career path development and planning, identifying relevant competencies, and helping employees set career goals and manage career expectations.
- Deliver and support multi-level leadership and staff coaching programs.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or another relevant discipline.
- 5 + years program, instructional, curriculum design, development and delivery experience
- Extensive and proven experience with formulating key performance indicators, designing program evaluation frameworks (short and long term) in relation to program efficacy, organizational culture and business objectives.
- Extensive experience supporting people managers and delivering programs including coaching, culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods
- Demonstrated ability to formulate multi-level (unit, division and organization) plans and execute complex organization wide program implementations
- Strong consultancy, stakeholder engagement and end-to-end learning life cycle execution experience
- Strong facilitation skills (in person and virtual) related to delivering learning and organizational development initiatives
- Experience with delivering leadership development programs and employee engagement initiatives
- Working knowledge of change management and project management
- Experience managing several projects simultaneously both independently and with groups.
- Experience using eLearning application/development tools and developing eLearning programs
- Experience working with learning management systems (eg. Cornerstone)
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
- Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, conceptual, and planning skills
