The Director of Learning & Development is accountable for sustaining a Center of Excellence which supports our global development needs.
Working with leaders and employees across the firm, this leader will provide advanced consulting services to help develop and implement key learning and development solutions in support of our strategic business needs and initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing a strategic plan with hands on management for learning effectiveness and transformation, creating effective learning and development systems, standards and metrics.
This leader will have demonstrated excellent leadership, change management, consulting and influence skills while demonstrating the ability to think strategically and translate business performance gaps into learning and development strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a comprehensive strategic plan and framework to address learning and development needs.
- Think strategically and translate business performance gaps into learning and development solutions.
- Drive process thinking and the use of metrics throughout the learning function to ensure learning initiatives are linked to business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal clients. Ensure the Learning & Development Team and HR Team provide superior customer service and support to all internal clients through understanding their needs, measuring effectiveness, and facilitating appropriate change.
- Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, with experience embedding these principles into learning strategies, leadership development, and talent programs.
- Proactively keep abreast of innovation and trends leading the learning space by maintaining an outside network. Incorporate best practices into overall learning strategy as appropriate.
- Design and facilitate leadership retreats, succession planning and talent development.
- Provide group and individual coaching.
- When external support is needed, develop RFPs, select vendors, and monitor progress and performance.
- Effectively manage the Learning + Development budget.
Qualifications:
- 10 - 15 years’ experience designing, developing and implementing diverse learning solutions
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a management/leadership role
- Experience in building and integrating a suite of offerings across delivery channels (face-to-face conferences, online learning, webinars, etc.)
- Experience with current and emerging technology tools and platforms that will transform the delivery of learning products, Docebo preferred
- Experience leveraging psychometric or strengths‑based assessment tools (e.g., 5 Dynamics or comparable frameworks) to support leadership development, team effectiveness, or organizational learning.
- Experience in design, development and delivery of professional and leadership development programs
- Must be highly collaborative, and able to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Must interact effectively on cross-organizational teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results
- Strong analytical skills, facilitation and business planning and project management skills
- Experience developing and presenting reports, trends and recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leadership
- Deals well with ambiguity and can effectively cope with change and demonstrate the ability to shift direction as needed to address emerging organization and client needs
- Drives for results and can be counted on to successfully execute goals and steadfastly push oneself and others for results
- An agile work style is required with ability to quickly learn about and work with a highly creative, design focused workforce
- Experience in a professional services firm and preferably a professional design firm experience is a plus.
- Executive Coaching Certification is a plus.

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $165,000 to $220,000, commensurate with qualifications and dependent on geographic location.
