Job Title: Regional EHS Manager (EAST)
Location: Hybrid Remote (Candidate must within daily commuting distance of one of Grain Craft’s assigned regional locations listed below)

JOB SUMMARY: Grain Craft’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) organization is driven to be a partner to leadership in support of the company’s efforts to achieve its strategic growth, customer and operating objectives and lead Grain Craft to world class EHS performance. Our mission is to lead and enable the business and leverage EHS talents to achieve short and long-term business objectives. Our primary areas of strategic focus include reducing risks to our employees, eliminating serious injuries, reducing waste, environmental compliance and stewardship and the integration of EHS management into all Grain Craft’s locations.
As the regional EHS Manager, you will develop a business partnership with the plant teams to help support the business EHS goals and the path to achieve it, while ensuring corporate EHS goals and legal requirements are being met. You will be responsible for supporting the corporate EHS functions and ensuring regional alignment to EHS goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide support to facility leadership on their journey to world class EHS performance. Establish excellent relationships with a diverse management team.
- Provide regular status updates on EHS performance to senior leadership.
- Possess a thorough understanding of regional/country/state regulations and corporate policies.
- Provide support for mergers and acquisitions within your region.
- Partner with facility leadership in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations.
- Monitor and measure EHS performance metrics in your region.
- Lead regional teams and ownership of Emergency Response activities.
- Establish programs and policies in support of corporate EHS goals and objectives.
- Perform frequent site visits and audits to support the local EHS needs.
- Facilitate support of and remove barriers to EHS excellence identified via audit or leadership feedback.
- Ensure regulatory compliance within your region and stay abreast of changes in regulations (governmental, industry groups, international standard bodies).
- Ensure regional leadership are knowledgeable with their roles and responsibilities to support an integrated EHS management system.
- Analyze EHS performance metrics, self-assessments, and trends. Respond accordingly.
- Support successful deployment of programs related to Grain Craft’s EHS goals.
- Provide support to our ESG (sustainability) efforts for the mills you support.
· Keep current on regulatory trends and provide updates to corporate EHS as needed.
· Understand and influence Grain Craft’s EHS strategy and continual improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 10 - 15 years of EHS experience managing multiple locations in a regional role
· Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment
· Must be proficient in MS Office programs
· Ability to manage multiple demands and make decisions quickly and effectively
· Excellent project management skills and ability to work to commitments
· Communicate concepts in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner
· Must possess the ability to influence without authority to achieve EHS objectives
· Professional EHS certifications like CHMM, CSP, CIH, or regional equivalents, are preferred
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 - 10 years of relevant experience managing EHS in a multi-site capacity.
· Travel estimated at 50%
