MBP is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist II to support and deliver engaging training programs, maintain our learning technology, and collaborate with teams to create impactful content.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will oversee coordination of key internal learning initiatives, manage the Learning Management System, and partner with subject-matter experts to elevate training content and processes. You will play a central part in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Responsibilities include:
- Support course creation by loading and updating content in the Learning Management System, creating assessments, resolving technical issues, and monitoring learner progress.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject-matter experts to enhance and update programs.
- Facilitate tutorials and training about LMS features, maintaining administrator accounts and access.
- Develop interactive courses using tools that incorporate presentations, audio, video, gamification, assessments, and exams.
- Analyze course evaluations to identify improvements for training programs.
- Coordinate logistics for learning sessions, including communication, invitations, registration maintenance, training record updates, and distribution of evaluations.
- Manage evaluation data input and maintain report archives for Lunch-n-Learn and RCEP platform reporting.
- Assist with activation and deactivation of accounts across vendor platforms.
- Organize MBP Principles Workshop logistics such as agendas, presenters, and participant arrangements.
Who We Are Looking For
Experience:
- Prior experience with backend functions of a Learning Management System, including user management, content uploads, and troubleshooting.
- Successful track record of completing multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers and subject-matter experts.
- Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Background analyzing training effectiveness and implementing content improvements based on learner feedback.
Education/Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in applied sciences, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Engineering, Construction Management, or A/E/C terminology preferred.
- Instructional Design and Learning Management System technical expertise.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to create interactive training content using authoring tools.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Data Validation, Charts/Graphs) and PowerPoint (cameo, voice-over, animation, transitions).
- Advanced project management and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and organizational discipline.
- Resourceful, innovative approach to problem-solving and recommending effective actions.
Guidance/Responsibility:
- Operates under strategic guidance provided by the Director of Learning and Professional Development.
- Expected to approach assignments with professional maturity and use independent judgment on course content and LMS tasks within established guidelines.
Supervisory:
- No direct reports.
- Reports to the Director of Learning and Professional Development.
Status:
Full-time
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $78,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
