The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Aviso's learning and development team for 12 months.
Reporting to the Leader of L&D, the Learning & Development Specialist will focus on the development and delivery of our best in class training programs to our CUW Advisor Partners. The position will ensure that the learning content, delivery and associated activities are technically current and accurate, and effectively delivered.

What your day looks like:
- Oversee for the design and development, including scoping learning objectives, understanding target audiences, determining activities and collateral requirements, and resourcing technical training programs aimed at advisors, associates, assistants, and leaders
- Deliver live training via webinar, as well as maintain and expand the current library of recorded/e-learning training modules for advisor business systems, including Dataphile, proprietary software, and others where required
- Build and maintain an inventory of advisor-friendly resources and tools, including advisor reference guides, process maps, helpful hints, best practices, and FAQs
- Provide in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the relevant business, including products, policies, practices, systems, and procedures
- Liaise with Subject Matter Experts, as required, throughout the design and development process for content validation
- Keep current on issues concerning CIRO-ID & CIRO-MF regulations and other education requirements
- Conduct assessments of internal departmental training needs and assist with the content development and implementation
- Assess, track and report continuing education credits for advisor network
- Work on a variety of training projects & initiatives where required
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of wealth management experience (within the investment and/or insurance industry). Preference given to candidates with advisor/client-facing experience
- Experience with advisor training; this can include responsibility for electronic course design/delivery, in-person training and/or training in a virtual setting. An understanding of adult education/learning styles as well as industry and technological trends in terms of delivery is an asset
- Familiarity with learning design/delivery software (ie: Articulate, Vyond, etc.) and LMS functionalities
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline
- Completion of CSC or CIFC and/or LLQP is an asset
- CFP, PFP or other equivalencies an asset
- Demonstrated content development and instructional design experience an asset
- Strong training, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to deliver learning through a variety of means including virtual classroom, webinars, self-paced learning, seminars and conference calls
- Must be able to understand and apply adult teaching principals
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and information
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proactive, self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision
- Well organized and able to work effectively to deadlines
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Results-oriented, demonstrating ownership and accountability
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Innovative, resourceful, creative and adaptable to changing business environment
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000 - $ 90,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
