About You
You’re a creative and thoughtful storyteller who knows how to turn complex health information into clear, meaningful experiences. You love thinking about how people learn, what they need, and how to meet them where they are, whether that’s on a website, a digital platform, or in a support resource.
You blend strategy with empathy, with a strong pulse on digital content, user experience, and health education. You care deeply about making credible information accessible for people affected by blood cancer and the healthcare professionals who support them.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Health Education Experience leads the vision and evolution of LLSC’s health education ecosystem. You’ll shape the strategy and the day‑to‑day experience of our public education channels, our corporate website and Blood Cancer Compass, ensuring our content is clear, useful and grounded in evidence.
You’ll guide the planning, creation, and lifecycle of our education materials for both the blood cancer community and healthcare professionals, translating research and program insights into credible, easy-to-use resources. You’ll work closely with teams across the organization to bring ideas to life, champion best practices, and make sure our content evolves with community needs. This is a role for someone who loves building and refining experiences that make a real difference.
Key responsibilities include:
Optimize education experience for people affected by a blood cancer:
- Lead content strategy and UX governance for LLSC’s website.
- Oversee Blood Cancer Compass content planning and experience design.
- Create easy to understand learning curve that helps empower instead of overburden
- Inform and empower individuals and families affected by a blood cancer with multimedia information, micro-sties, and other tools by working with plain language writers, graphic designers, translators, web developers, videographers and photographers.
- Develop and manage educational material inventory in French and English for people with lived experience
- Establish standards for content quality, medical accuracy, and readability.
- Conduct education portfolio audits and gap assessments.
- Translate research investments into public‑facing knowledge products.
Increase engagement with medical and scientific community:
- Develop and implement the marketing and communication efforts to increase engagement and awareness of our services with the medical and scientific community
- Write copy, select images, manage translation for monthly newsletter to healthcare professionals
- Lead development of blood cancer statistics and literature reviews.
- Write and coordinate journal submissions and publications.
- Support cancer centers and medical associations outreach and communication.
- Produce program abstracts, poster presentation and investment impact updates
- Promote LLSC`s research grant program across the country
What will make you successful:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
- You bring 5–7 years of experience in health education, scientific content, or digital health information.
- You have experience translating clinical or research information into clear, accessible content for public audiences.
- You have created education materials for healthcare professionals and/or large public audiences.
- You are familiar with healthcare systems or cancer care environments.
- You have experience managing digital content platforms (an asset).
- You have strong health and scientific literacy and are comfortable synthesizing and interpreting research.
- You understand user experience and basic information architecture principles.
- You are skilled in strategic content planning and are familiar with adult learning principles.
- You collaborate well across teams and functions.
- You manage projects and content portfolios with clarity and organization.
- You bring strong editorial judgment and a commitment to quality assurance.
- You are fluent in both English and French, a strong asset given our national scope.
