Location: Florida Preferred
Compensation: $110,000 - $115,000 Base Salary + Full Benefits + $600/month Car Allowance

A rapidly growing restaurant organization is seeking an experienced Director of Learning & Development to lead all training, leadership development, and talent growth initiatives across the company.
This individual will play a critical role in building scalable learning systems that support continued expansion while ensuring operational consistency and an exceptional team member experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader with extensive experience developing restaurant training programs, leadership development initiatives, onboarding systems, and operational learning platforms.
Position Summary
The Director of Learning & Development will be responsible for creating, implementing, and continuously improving company-wide training programs that support frontline team members, restaurant managers, and multi-unit leaders. This role will oversee Certified Training Teams and partner closely with Operations and Human Resources to build a strong culture of learning, engagement, and career development.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop the company's Certified Training Teams and training infrastructure. • Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding programs for all levels of the organization. • Build and maintain comprehensive operational training materials, playbooks, manuals, and learning resources. • Develop leadership training programs for General Managers, Area Leaders, and emerging leaders. • Create succession planning and career pathing programs to strengthen internal talent pipelines. • Ensure consistency in training execution across all restaurant locations. • Partner with Operations leadership to identify training opportunities and performance gaps. • Develop systems to support new restaurant openings and company growth initiatives. • Establish metrics and reporting tools to measure training effectiveness, retention, and leadership readiness. • Evaluate and implement learning technologies and training platforms that enhance scalability and engagement. • Facilitate leadership workshops, training classes, and field-based development sessions. • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive Learning & Development leadership experience within the restaurant industry. • Strong background in full-service and/or multi-unit restaurant operations training preferred. • Proven experience building training systems and leadership development programs in a growth-oriented organization. • Experience leading Certified Training Managers and field training teams. • Demonstrated success creating onboarding, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives. • Strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills. • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. • Experience supporting new restaurant openings and rapid organizational growth is highly preferred. • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Education, or related field preferred.
