Role Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist, a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), will operate the candidate pipeline for HRS-supported practices, serving as the central point of conversion for a national, multi-channel recruiting system. It is a relationship-driven, consultative, and highly technology-enabled position, providing the opportunity to leverage clinical expertise in a high-impact, high reward recruiting role.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist owns candidate experience and pipeline progression while final hiring decisions remain with partner clinic leadership.
**Required for Application
To be considered, applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the following:
- Why is therapist-led, therapist-owned private practice critical in today’s physical therapy landscape?
- Many clinicians today can choose to work for large private equity–backed organizations. How would you explain to a clinician why joining an HRS private practice may be a better long-term career decision?
- What do you believe is the most challenging in physical therapy recruiting today?
- If hired, what is one strategy you would implement in your first 90 days?
Applications submitted without thoughtful, specific responses will not be reviewed.**
Core Responsibilities:
Candidate Outreach & Relationship Building
- Lead proactive sourcing, nurture campaigns, and direct outreach via online job boards, professional networks, and in-person events such as career fairs.
- Build long-term relationships with students, residents, and practicing clinicians.
- Educate candidates on the realities, career paths, and long-term opportunities within outpatient private practice.
- Develop and execute career fair strategy, including planning, representation, and follow-up to maximize candidate engagement and pipeline growth.
Technology & Reporting
- Serve as the administrator of recruiting platforms including Bullhorn (ATS), Exxat One, and AI-enabled sourcing tools such as Expa.
- Maintain an organized, accurate, and highly structured candidate database across systems.
- Report, analyze, and utilize KPIs such as candidate engagement, pipeline health, conversion-to-offer, and time-to-fill to continuously improve sourcing strategies.
Coaching & Market Insight
- Utilize candidate insights and recruiting data to train HRS-supported practice leaders on interview strategy, candidate communication, and presenting HRS as a compelling career opportunity.
- Conduct market analysis, such as candidate motivations, market trends, and talent availability, that shapes and drives HRS’s talent acquisition strategy.
- Partner with leadership, internal stakeholders and marketing to forecast hiring needs and align pipeline development accordingly.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (5+ years preferred)
- Deep understanding of the differences between independent practices and private equity–backed organizations within the outpatient private practice landscape.
- Eagerness to learn recruiting software and technology, including ATS platforms, CRM-style workflows, data tracking, and multi-system candidate management.
- Experience with social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) and email tools
- Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, communication and workflow management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification or specialization (e.g., OCS, SCS, COMT).
- Background in clinical quality, mentorship, or leadership roles.
- Knowledge of residencies, fellowships, and early-career clinician decision-making.
- Passion for physical therapy and outpatient private practice.
- Intentionally transitioning out of patient care — not just seeking remote work.
Compensation:
Base salary is $75,000, plus a $350 placement bonus for each successful clinical hire placed with an HRS-supported partner practice. Annual hiring volume is expected to range from approximately 30 to 60 full-time equivalent clinical placements, resulting in an estimated total annual compensation range of $85,500 to $96,000, based on performance.
