Job Purpose
We are seeking a Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist to provide enterprise-level leadership to the Programs & Policy Division, and to strengthen how technical knowledge, evidence, and learning are captured, synthesized, and shared across the organization in support of business development opportunities and program excellence.
This role enables effective program delivery, technical branding, thought leadership, and evidence-based decision-making by designing and operationalizing scalable KM strategies, processes, and digital tools, that ensure relevance and reach with donors and supporters.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the enterprise Knowledge Management and Knowledge Mobilization strategy, standards, and workflows.
- Translate KM standards, best practices, and emerging approaches (including AI-enabled knowledge practices) into practical guidance for staff.
- Ensure end-to-end knowledge flows from evidence generation to synthesis, packaging, dissemination, and reuse.
- Guide the development of high-quality knowledge assets (e.g., case studies, reports, briefing notes, learning resources, web content).
- Ensure effective representation of WVC’s programmatic impact to external donors and partners through dissemination of assessment findings and lessons learned
- Design, manage, and optimize digital KM solutions using SharePoint, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 tools.
- Build organizational capacity in knowledge creation, translation, and dissemination through training, coaching, and advisory support.
- Coordinate internal and external learning events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- University degree in international development, communications, information science, social sciences, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in knowledge management, organizational learning, or related fields.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based, international development programming, knowledge management principles and capacity to deliver knowledge management and/or organizational learning activities
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the capacity to summarize large volumes of information into concise, persuasive formats.
- Demonstrated experience with digital knowledge platforms, preferably Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Atlassian products and collaboration tools an asset.
