SENIOR L&D SPECIALIST
Our client, a leading Irish organisation undergoing significant digital transformation, is recruiting for a Senior L&D Specialist to join their established Learning & Talent Development team. We're looking to identify candidates who can demonstrate real impact in digital learning, business agility, and talent development at enterprise scale.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Talent Development, you'll work across the business to build digital, business agility, and leadership capabilities that support their ongoing transformation. This is a role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery - working with multiple stakeholders including leadership teams, HRBPs, and functional SMEs to identify capability gaps and deliver learning solutions that make a measurable difference. You'll be supporting a workforce of 3000+ employees across multiple ROI locations.

The L&D team is 6 people, and led by a Head of L&D who's knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in the digital space. It's a team that cares about innovation, building strong relationships across the business, and making real impact. Right now, career development and business agility are massive priorities. This isn't about ticking boxes or running standard programmes - it's about building capability that actually drives the transformation forward.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Lead the design and development of learning solutions for digital and business agility capability gaps
- Build and support talent development activities at management and leadership levels
- Liaise with executive sponsors and functional leads to define and validate skills and capability needs
- Develop scalable, skills-based plans to ensure a future-ready workforce
- Evaluate effectiveness of learning interventions using recognised models
- Build strong relationships with functions and HR Business Partners, influencing across all leadership levels
- Research and implement best-in-class L&D practices, technologies, and methodologies
- Support the delivery of blended learning solutions (in partnership with third-party vendors where relevant)
- Drive a culture of continuous learning across all business units
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5-7 years in learning and development with demonstrable experience leading talent development, digital learning, and/or leadership solutions at enterprise level
- Experience working at scale - ideally with workforces of 1000+ employees across diverse functions
- Strong track record in the full L&D cycle: diagnosis, design, delivery, evaluation
- Ability to articulate ROI and business impact - not just programme delivery, but how you measure success
- Digital savviness: understanding of AI, automation, data literacy, learning technologies, and virtual delivery tools
- Experience designing and delivering blended learning solutions to support business transformation
- Excellent stakeholder management - you'll be presenting and influencing at senior levels
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A third-level qualification in HR or business (desirable); professional L&D qualification (e.g. CIPD, L&DI) is a plus but not essential

- Salary: €65,000 - €70,000

HOW THEY WORK
This is a hybrid role based at their HQ in Dublin's city centre. The team works 2-3 days onsite with genuine flexibility around working hours. The Head of L&D is collaborative and detail-oriented - they want to hear about your technical approach, how you measure impact, and the results you've achieved.
