We are seeking a Senior Manager of Talent Strategy & Development who is passionate about building strong leadership pipelines and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. In this high-impact role, you will lead initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent while aligning talent planning with business priorities. You’ll build leadership capability and position talent as a core driver of organizational success.
What you’ll do:
- Leadership Development: Design and facilitate leadership training modules, coaching programs, and readiness assessments.
- Talent Planning: Own succession planning, competency models, workforce strategy, and mobility frameworks.
- Pipeline Management: Build and manage internal talent pipelines, risk assessments, and emerging talent/Hi-Po programs.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to identify talent gaps and create targeted development solutions.
- Analytics & Forecasting: Maintain talent scorecards, forecast skill needs, and oversee KPIs and reporting.
- Retention & Engagement: Drive retention strategies and executive/management development initiatives.
- Governance: Oversee talent reviews, organizational talent operating schedule, and compliance standards.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, or related HR functions is required with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Extensive knowledge of talent management best practices, leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Experience leading multi-site and multi-national learning operations is preferred.
Work Location: Preference is for candidates to be within a commutable distance to one of our office locations in the greater Toronto, or Calgary areas. However, we recognize that the right talent can thrive from anywhere—fully remote candidates will be considered for the right fit.
The expected annual salary range for this role in Canada is $95,000 - $120,000 a year. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive program.
