Job Summary
Asset Based Lending is seeking a proactive and hands-on Learning and Development Lead to help build and shape our company’s learning culture. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in training and development—especially in the mortgage or financial services industry—who is ready to design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs across all departments.
The Learning and Development Lead will partner with department heads and HR to identify training needs, create engaging learning experiences, and lay the foundation for a scalable L&D function. This position offers significant autonomy and visibility, with a clear growth path toward future management opportunities as the department expands.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop training programs and materials that align with company objectives and industry best practices.
• Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences using a variety of instructional methods (e.g., e-learning, workshops, webinars).
• Continuously update training content to reflect changes in industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions for employees across all departments, ensuring high engagement and knowledge retention.
• Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs and develop customized solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees to reinforce training concepts and facilitate continuous learning.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
• Prepare and present reports on training outcomes and ROI to senior management.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in learning and development.
• Recommend and implement innovative training tools and techniques to enhance the learning experience.
• Travel as needed to different company locations and departments to deliver in-person training and support.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in learning and development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.
• Experience in the mortgage industry or financial services is a plus.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and training software.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for training delivery and departmental support.
