Position Summary...
What you'll do...The Manager, Learning & Development – Product Training & Certification is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of product education and certification programs for both internal associates and external partners. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Learning & Development – Product Training & Certification and supports the execution of training strategies that empower teams and clients to confidently use Walmart Connect’s advertising solutions. The Manager is responsible for creating engaging learning experiences, maintaining and updating training content, and ensuring programs drive adoption and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Product Training for Internal Associates
- Support the execution of go-to-market (GTM) training strategies for new product launches.
- Create a tiered, role-based learning framework to ensure foundational product competencies are addressed.
- Coordinate ongoing training sessions to build product fluency and solution confidence.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to align training with product updates and priorities.
- Develop and deliver training refreshers, knowledge checks, and continuous education touchpoints.
External Certifications & Partner Education
- Design and develop certification programs for external audiences (advertisers, agencies, and emerging partners) through Walmart Connect Academy.
- Build learning experiences that help advertisers and partners understand Walmart Connect’s value proposition, campaign creation workflows, and optimization best practices.
- Develop tiered certification pathways (101/201/301) to scale learner progression from platform fundamentals to advanced campaign execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Partner Management, Marketing, Sales) to ensure external learning content is current, relevant, and tied to measurable business outcomes.
- Deliver live and virtual sessions, webinars, and interactive training to reinforce learning and drive partner confidence and satisfaction.
Content Design, Development & Facilitation
- Design and develop engaging, multi-modal learning experiences across modalities, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual ILT (vILT), eLearning, video, simulations, and microlearning.
- Use interactive facilitation techniques (role plays, case studies, simulations, group discussions) to maximize learner engagement and retention.
- Apply instructional design, adult learning theory, and UX principles to create intuitive, visually engaging content that promotes application and retention.
- Develop performance support tools (e.g., assessments, videos, infographics, guides, and job aids) that reinforce knowledge retention and skill application.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align training content with business priorities.
- Conduct needs analyses with stakeholders to identify learning gaps.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure certification content is accurate and relevant.
- Represent Walmart Connect Academy in internal and external forums as an education ambassador.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in Learning Experience Design, Customer/Partner Education, or Instructional Design with proven success supporting B2B or enterprise organizations.
- Expertise in developing learning content across multiple modalities (ILT, vILT, eLearning, video, microlearning, and blended programs).
- Proficiency with learning tools: Evolve, Articulate Rise, Vyond, Canva, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
- Must include a portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Marketing, or Organizational Development.
- Certifications in L&D, Instructional Design, or Project Management (CPTD, Kirkpatrick, PMP, Agile) are a plus.
- Proven track record in developing tiered certification pathways and assessments (e.g., foundational to advanced levels).
- Experience working in ad tech, media, or SaaS environments.
- Experience with AI-driven learning systems, adaptive learning, and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, LMS dashboards).

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
