Job Summary
The Manager, Learning and Performance reports to the Chief People Officer within Crown Bakeries. This individual contributor position will have responsibility for defining the L&D strategy to align with business priorities, assessing learning needs, designing curriculum and will support the teaching and facilitation of courses via train-the-trainer execution with human resources and managers. In addition to HR leadership, this role will actively partner with Operations and Functional departments to support on-going professional and performance development programming and leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Execute on company priorities and departmental strategy as determined in conjunction with the Chief People Officer. Determine the proper course of action and interact with the appropriate individuals to manage, complete analysis, measure KPI’s and make recommendations.
- Aligning project(s) with stakeholders to implement highly effective and innovative L&D solutions, including digitized content, individualized learning paths, and development in the flow of work
- Manage the Alchemy Learning Management System (LMS) Platform and oversee curated internal content and learning plans.
- Work with internal departments to identify skill gaps and fill needs as applicable with additional content.
- Develop strong relationships with Plant and Departmental Leadership Peers to assess and recommend learning solutions.
- Monitor and manage budgets items as assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging learning technologies and trends in development and performance
- Assess learning needs across the Crown platform to develop and facilitate additional learning programs to meet current and future workforce needs.
- Alchemy and other learning systems and/or content will be used to customize and design learning paths for individual and/or team development.
- Manage Crown’s annual compliance training and annual training calendar programming.
- Prepares and presents required and special reports related to learning and performance.
- Support Acquisition and Merger activities as required.
- Additional responsibilities of this position will include key projects to assist with strategic initiatives such as structured onboarding programs, developing job rotations, development action plans, and other related work.
- Other duties assigned by the Chief People Officer.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Certifications in Adult Learning, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related field; 3-5 years of related experience in Learning and Development.
- SHRM, HRCI or ASTD Certification preferred.
- Manufacturing experience in a multi-unit environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close.
- Strong understanding of the Performance Management process to support ongoing program development and enhancements.
- Understanding of succession planning concepts and execution
- Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
- Ability to design and facilitate learning programs and provide coaching to enhance performance and development.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office skills and ability to produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence."
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity. Ability to be efficient with limited resources.
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking to support problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a self-starter personality
- Good time management skills and the ability to interpret and communicate data.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS or LMS Software, Paylocity preferred.
- Experience in video creation software - Adobe Rush or Premier preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a production plant, shipping area and office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to facility elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, cell phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
