JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work within the organization. This role involves creating training materials, organizing training sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet the company's goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Design and implement training programs to address organizational needs and
objectives.
● Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop training plans
accordingly.
● Create engaging and interactive learning materials, including presentations,
online modules, and handouts.
● Coordinate training sessions and workshops, including scheduling, logistics, and
participant communication.
● Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys and assessments to
make improvements for future sessions.
● Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development
to ensure programs are up-to-date and relevant.
● Collaborate with subject matter experts and department managers to ensure
training aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
● Monitor employee performance and progress post-training to measure impact
on job performance and skills development.
● Provide coaching and support to employees to help reinforce learning and
ensure successful implementation of new skills.
● Maintain training records and documentation to track employee participation
and progress for reporting purposes.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
● Develop and implement effective training programs using a variety of
methodologies, including workshops, digital learning modules, and experiential
learning opportunities
● Customize training programs to meet the needs and learning styles of adult
learners, incorporating strategies that promote self-directed learning and
practical application of knowledge
● Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms to
design, deliver, and track training programs for maximum accessibility and
exibility
● Create comprehensive training curricula that cover all necessary competencies
and skills for specic roles or departments within the organization
● Apply organizational development theory and practices to support
organizational growth, culture, and change management efforts through
training and development initiatives
● Stay current on trends and developments in training and education to
continuously innovate and improve training effectiveness

● Strong writing and record-keeping ability for reports and training manuals.

EDUCATION
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or
related eld.
