Position Overview:
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development programs that support Amico’s continuous growth and commitment to excellence. This role plays a key part in building employee capability, enhancing performance, and supporting career development across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess organizational learning needs and develop targeted training programs to address skill gaps.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate in-house learning initiatives, workshops, and onboarding programs.
- Collaborate with department leaders to align learning programs with business objectives and operational priorities.
- Manage external training vendors and oversee the coordination of third-party learning programs.
- Develop digital learning materials and maintain learning content on internal platforms or LMS systems.
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory training requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within Amico Affiliates.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- CHRP/CHRL designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
