Job Purpose
The Director, Strategic HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to multiple executive team leaders and their support teams, driving the development and execution of human resources strategies that align with business objectives. This role focuses on building strong partnerships, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring HR initiatives support organizational success without direct people management responsibilities.
Location: This role will also serve as the HRBP contact in the Boston Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
This position requires strong partnerships with assigned executive leaders and their teams to ensure alignment of company-wide HR initiatives into the business strategies and goals. In addition, this role provides strategic and tactical leadership to link HR best practices to business objectives, including policy development and enforcement, workforce planning and skills training needed to support the continued growth of the organization.
The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the primary HR business partner for assigned executive leaders and their teams, offering proactive planning, coaching, and HR expertise.
- Collaborate with assigned teams to integrate company-wide HR initiatives into business strategies.
- Partner with leadership to implement talent management, compensation, learning and development, and benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring strong associate relations and engagement.
- Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, policy interpretation, and change management to support business transformation.
- Serve as a consultant on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Support leadership in succession planning, talent acquisition strategies, and development programs without direct oversight of HRBP teams.
- Ensure HR programs, practices, and processes are consistent and aligned across the organization.
Qualifications (Education & Experience)
Qualifications include:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of HR business partner experience supporting senior leadership in multi-site or complex environments.
- Strong expertise in change management, talent strategies, and organizational development.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Professional HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
