Divcon is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive training and development program for our Field Operations team, which includes Project Managers, Leads, Control Technicians, Specialists, and Managers.
This leader will play a pivotal role in onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and process standardization, ensuring our teams are equipped to deliver excellence at scale. The L&D Leader will also build and lead a training team, develop and deliver programs, and establish the systems and tools that make training repeatable, measurable, and impactful. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic design with practical delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding programs for new hires across all Operations roles.
- Develop technical training, SOP documentation, assessments, and playbooks to standardize best practices across projects.
- Create leadership and management development programs to build the next generation of Operations leaders.
- Deliver centralized training sessions and coordinate team members for field-based and on-site sessions.
- Build and maintain a centralized training library (manuals, SOPs, process guides, videos, LMS content).
- Establish scalable systems for tracking training completion, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Partner with Operations leadership to align training with company goals, project standards, industry best practices, and customer expectations.
- Build out and manage a Training Team.
- Delegate field and travel-based training while ensuring consistent content and delivery quality.
- Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps across Operations.
- Track and report key training metrics, such as:
- Reduced time-to-productivity for new hires
- Adoption of standardized processes
- Reduction in escalations caused by training gaps
- Improved retention and engagement within Operations
- Partner with HR/Talent and other departments to ensure alignment across the employee lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or operations leadership.
- Background in construction, controls, or data centers strongly preferred (other industries considered with exceptional L&D expertise).
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training programs that are both strategic and hands-on.
- Strong skills in curriculum design, instructional design, and adult learning methodologies.
- Experience building training infrastructure (LMS, documentation, playbooks, SOPs).
- Leadership experience managing a small team.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work at headquarters with occasional travel to job sites.
