Job Overview
We are seeking a flexbile and customer-focused Learning Specialist to join our team. The Specialist, Learning Systems and Support, handles all activities related to the setup, configuration, administration and maintenance of Learning Management Systems for our clients. This role is critical in ensuring system and courseware integrity to deliver a seamless experience for their online learners.
The Specialist will be the administrator for a variety of different Learning Management System services such as Moodle, LearnWorlds, Thinkific, Zoho Learn, TalentLMS, and others. The Specialist has a combination of technical, creative, and customer-service skills — able to manage APIs, SSO, integrations, payment gateways, build client-branded landing pages, load SCORM packages, respond to learners having LMS issues, and generate dashboard reports for clients.
Duties
- Participate in the analysis and selection of best-fit LMS options and services for clients.
- Set up, configure, administer, and maintain client Learning Management Systems.
- Set up client-branded, web-based landing pages on LMS services with that ability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors or IT for system updates.
- Keep abreast of LMS enhancements, such as AI functions, that can improve learning experiences, authoring, reporting, etc., and present options to Addiev.
- Upload, test, and manage self-directed eLearning packages, instructor-led training programs, blended learning programs, and other resources. This includes course settings configuration, adding course descriptions, and creating course image thumbnails.
- Set up learning paths, custom certificates, groups, or other features as required.
- Set up and configure administrative and learner accounts with attributes such as access levels, privileges, and course assignments. This may include single or bulk enrollment, setting up groups, etc.
- Promptly respond to internal messages, including Addiev team queries, support requests, and questions relating to client projects. The Specialist may also be in direct contact with the client and their learners to respond to issues.
- Generate and distribute periodic dashboard reports. These are the training metrics needed by clients to inform them of learner progress, completions, compliance, etc.
- Develop user guides, FAQs, and related material to promote LMS adoption as needed. In some cases, we are training clients to take over the administration of their LMS.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree in information technology, computer programming, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of two (2) full years of experience in the setup, configuration, administration, and maintenance of learning management systems.
- Knowledge of and experience with handling SCORM, AICC, cmi5, xAPI (Tin Can), and HTML5 eLearning packages.
- Training centre experiences such as ADDIE or AGILE instructional design, adult learning theory, educational standards, and/or training content development is a significant plus.
- Experience using PDF editors and online creative applications such as Canva, FreePik, etc.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated and flexible, able to manage time-sensitive tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Committed to confidentiality and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborative team player with experience in corporate or global learning environments.
