Summary
The Regional Textile Consultant will drive sales, via new business development and account management of existing customers within the assigned territory. This role is responsible for promoting LDI Interiors, providing related consultation, and growing revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturers of commercial furniture and equipment
- Major end users of commercial furniture
- The strategic dealers and sales representatives engaged in supporting those end users of commercial furniture.
- Research and identify prospective customers
- In person prospecting
- Perform thorough needs analysis
- Present solutions, proposals, and quotations
- Handle concerns and objections professionally
- Maintain a sales pipeline related to qualified sales opportunities
- Establish a presence with assigned accounts
- Conduct new product introductions
- Provide clients with product performance, testing, and specification information
- Maintain and update client binders, price lists, and memo sample libraries
- Record activities and updates accurately and consistently in CRM system
- Attend industry events to identify and develop new leads
- Provide technical recommendations to manufacturer clients regarding the upholstering of LDI materials
- Support and help resolve warranty claims
Requirements
- College degree preferred in one of the following: business, marketing, interior design, textiles
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in one or more of the following categories: commercial furniture, contract furniture dealer, interior design firm, medical equipment, textiles, carpet, wallcovering or related fields.
- Demonstrated effective presentation skills
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding company sales goals
- Technologically proficient in Office 365, web-based CRM platforms and app-based expense reporting
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory – daily and overnight
- Flexible availability to respond to client needs outside standard business hours
