Rosetta Languages is recruiting trilingual English<>Mandarin<>Cantonese interpreters for occasional phone and video calls. Compensation is $1.00/minute of call time.
- You're an active listener. When someone's speaking, you listen to parse the essential elements of their message. You are also tuned in to the subtle clues in their word choice and tone of voice that help you understand the whole story.
- You're a clear communicator. In all of your languages you are able to convey information effectively to your listeners. You have a wide vocabulary but are comfortable using simple language when it is more effective. You ask clarifying questions when necessary.
-You have strong short term memory and great note taking skills to be able to listen to long segments of speech before interpreting.
- You're an advocate. When you interpret for someone, they can count on you to get them the help they need. You won't let them down.
- You're responsive. Calls coming in at random times? That's your game. - You are comfortable learning and using new technologies.
- You're kind.- You're open and eager to continue growing and learning as an interpreter.T
