Head of Learning

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Head of Learning to join our People & Organisation (P&O) team, leading a small team in the UK while closely collaborating with our Head of Learning, the Global Learning Hub, and the Digital Learning team in South Africa. The learning function is directly aligned with the strategic needs of the business, equipping our people to provide an "out of the ordinary" experience for our clients. What will I be doing?
To develop (in partnership with P&O specialisations, consultants and business leaders):
- An effective learning culture, supporting individualised learning experiences, that are actively lead by leaders in the business;
- A shared understanding of Investec's learning philosophy across our business that perpetuates the right leadership behaviour; and,
- Strategies and operational plans to deliver and consistently implement business-centred learning activities
- Clear and consistent processes and mechanisms for regulatory and business reporting, and data insights.
- Managing and developing the UK learning team.
- Develop & implement a cohesive learning strategy.
- Provide thought leadership and implementation of initiatives in partnership with P&O partners across geographies.
- Manage a suite of organisation-wide learning programmes including design, relevance, cost, delivery and effectiveness in translating learning through the programmes into the workplace.
- Lead a portfolio of learning programmes end-to-end, from needs analysis and design to evaluation and ROI assessment.
- Work in partnership with the Digital Learning Lead to leverage digital platforms and technology to enhance the experience of learning for our people in terms of access, timeliness, relevance and usefulness.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a senior learning and development role, with a focus on creating impactful learning experiences. Preferably in a Financial Services, regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern learning methodologies.
- Strong orientation to coaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Experience in using data and analytics to assess learning impact and inform decision-making.
As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
